Cocoa absolute is a middle to base note that can be added to lotions, creams, perfumes, and body scrubs. Absolutes are not recommended for use in a diffuser. The cacao beans used in our cocoa oil are grown in the Dominican Republic, Peru, and Tanzania.
Our cocoa absolute has a slightly viscous consistency and is blended at 50% with organic ethanol to assist in pourability. It is helpful to start with a small quantity of the other ingredients you are using (such as carrier oil or butter) and thoroughly blend the cocoa absolute until it is completely combined. This will make it easier to incorporate the blended mix into the rest of your ingredients.
This absolute has a dark brown color that may affect finished products or stain clothing.
